Christmas 2009 at GBC

imageYou will be very welcome at any of our Christmas events!

Abraham Kalyapu says “Stars! I love stars! Not the ‘stars’ we follow in the newspaper, but clusters of them in the Galaxy. Where I come from in Africa you can see billions of them so clearly since there is no electric lighting! Remember the excitement of that moment when you see a shooting star across the sky?

Well, about 2000 years ago, a bunch of astrologers travelled thousands of miles from the East following a star that guided them to Jerusalem to come and see this baby Jesus that was born. It must have been some night for those wise men. In their own words to King Herod, they said, “Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star in the East and we have come to worship him” (Matthew 2:2)

Do join us this Christmas and find out more about the most amazing story that has ever been told in human history.  Come, sing your favourite carols that tell the Christmas story – and find out more about this amazing story for yourself.”
