We want our congregations to be a safe place where all people can explore what it means to love God, love others and make disciples. We want everyone to feel welcome and have a sense of belonging.

If mobility is difficult for you, you’ll find designated parking outside our doors, our main worship rooms are on the ground floor, and the buildings are wheelchair accessible.  If you have additional needs, or know someone who has, we would love to give you a warm welcome and help you to feel at home here. Full information can be found below.

Getting around our buildings:

  • At East Chadley Lane (ECL), we have an onsite car park with blue badge spaces by the front door, please email office@godmanchesterbaptist.org if you require a space. If you have limited mobility, you can also be dropped off and take a seat in reception, or our welcome team will assist you to your seat or group, whilst your driver parks.
  • At The Beacon Centre (TBC), we have an onsite car park with blue badge spaces.
  • Both our buildings entrances are accessible to wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walkers and prams. TBC has a slope up to the entrance.
  • Our worship areas are on the ground floor, and all rooms are wheelchair accessible with flexible seating.
  • To access the first floor at ECL, there is a wheelchair accessible lift.
  • Both our sites have accessible toilets. At ECL, we have a wheelchair accessible toilet.
  • Baby changing facilities are available.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome, and we are happy to provide them with water.
  • We have wheelchairs that may be borrowed for use in the buildings. Please speak to a member of the welcome team on arrival.

Accessible worship:

  • We have a hearing loop on the main floor of the worship rooms – please switch your hearing aid to position ‘T’. Please speak to a member of the welcome team on arrival to find out more.
  • All speakers use microphones during Sunday services.
  • Our welcome team will happily rearrange seats in our services to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
  • We are able to provide print versions of our email Weekly News and large print copies of resources, on request.
  • We are keen to welcome everyone to our services. At ECL our children’s/youth teams provide age appropriate groups during Sunday morning celebrations. Our teams are made up of volunteers who may not have experience in working with those who have additional needs, but they would be more than happy to talk to you about how they can ensure your child/young person enjoys and belongs to these groups. If you have any questions prior to attending, we would be more than happy to discuss how we can best support your child/young person to access these groups.
  • Our Sunday messages are broadcast from ECL and are available on YouTube with auto-generated subtitles.
  • You are welcome to bring your own fidget toys or ear defenders if these would help you to access our congregations.

If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call or email office@godmanchesterbaptist.org before your visit to discuss how we might be able to assist you.
