Huntingdon Area Money Advice
GBC is pleased to be an enthusiastic supporter of Huntingdon Area Money Advice.
Following church donations and a generous grant from the Huntingdon Freemen’s Trust, HAMA now have pledged just over £5000, with a few more grants still under consideration. As a result of the prompt church donations, they have been able recently to register with Community Money Advice (CMA), which will enable them to move forward with the administrative work to set up the Centre.
Huntingdon Community Church has kindly offered an office for their use with furniture and other office facilities. In the next couple of weeks it is hoped to submit the draft constitution to the Charity Commission to register as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
They now have potentially a small team to take the work forward. In particular around nine people have indicated they wish to be Advisers.
