Parenting Seminar – Supporting your child in an ‘on-line’ world

Come along to our parenting seminar and find out how you can best support your children as they spend their time in a digital world. There are many positives about the new world order that our young people find themselves; access to information, ability to learn from other cultures, stay in touch with people. And at the same time there are new pressures that they have to face.

2 November – a seminar looking at the change in the way young people interact with each other and the world around them.

23 November – an opportunity to discuss how it is within our own families and ask questions.

If you would like to come along please book a place so we know who to expect.

The Hub

The Hub is a Youth Cafe at Godmanchester Baptist Church.

This will be a great place to meet up with friends and have a Toasted Sandwich and Hot Chocolate Mountain (other food and drink available) and talk about life together.

It will also be a safe space for young people to talk through life struggles with youth leaders and seek further support when necessary.

Discover the Big Story of the Bible

2 testaments, 66 books, hundreds of places, thousands of people, but one big story.

What’s great about reading the Bible is we’re able to zoom in and explore the details, to discover verses that speak powerfully into our lives and situations. But as well as looking close up at the beauty of God’s word, it’s also really helpful to zoom out to get a sense of the great unfolding story that the Bible tells.

In this session, we’ll do a fly-over of the Bible, pointing out the key turning points where significant changes take place. By doing this, it helps us to gain an even greater appreciation for the details when we zoom back in again. An opportunity for beginners to learn and veterans to recap.

Light refreshments. For more information contact Joe Warton.
